So, Mom and I went to see this, http://www.stlouis.art.museum/napoleon/Exhibition_Details.htm toady was the last day, and all I did was check the Roman god and beast references for accuracy. One question, flist, Bees: symbol of immortality?

Strangely, yes. In the Roman tradition, since bees are never young or old, and you never really find their bodies unless they've stung something and died of their own malice, they were considered sort of immortal. When a single beehive can live for 200 years, and you have no scientific method, strange symbols pop out.
